Hey, does your drivers side cv axle have any in and out plat from the diff? Mine has about 1/8th inch and idk if something is wrong or Thats normal. Could you post of video of what urs looks like. Thanks!

Hey sorry to bump this old thread but my napa cv axle is having like an 1/8th inch of in and out play in the diff. I just put it in and the one i took out didnt have play, u think its a seal issue??

Did you fix the in and out play of the cv axle? And if so how?

When you say yours had straight in and out play, do you mean the cv axle itself would slide in and out of the dif slightly? For some reason my drivers side axle doesnt seem locked in? It slides in and out like an eighth to a quarter of an inch

Hey sorry to bump this old thread, but i just discovered some oil/fluid that got sprayed under my 4runner and it looks like its originating from the drivers side inner tie rod boot or the the clamp holding it on or the hose line attachment directly above it, it is hard to tell and i didnt see...

The lbj replacement got rid of that awful noise completely? My rig is making the same exact noise when i turn the wheel while parked. But i didn’t think it was the LBJs bc for preventative maintenance i replaced the old ones with new OEM ones and its only been 15k miles and they sound like that...

Was it the same noise as in the video he posted?

Thanks i needed to hear this, i was looking so hard to find a 3rd gen with 4x4 and a locker, found one, the guy backed out of the deal. I found another 3rd gen sr5 with 4x4 and no locker and got it, and i was concerned if i should have waited to find one with a locker, but with my 2wd sr5 i did...
