Thanks for sharing that story. Luckily I've never had any catastrophic failure but i once let salesman drive a 370z back to the lot to show me what it could do. He sure ragged on it and i could see why some new cars on the lot have some problems, even with so few miles

I rode in a well built 4runner and it rides tons smoother than my FJ. Not sure if it's the longer wheelbase.
