Also, are there any engines that are better maintenance wise? Meaning, X.X engine on the XX model has a timing belt while the others have a timing chain that doesn't need servicing. Things like that.

Ok, I think I finally got it. I just sat in my driveway, started the engine and put it in neutral, shifted to H4, rolled a few feet, neutral, L4, rolled a few feet, neutral, back to H4, then to H2. Then, I reversed back to my original spot and repeated the process a bunch of times. The first...

That's what my gut says, but thought maybe I was going too slow. Going to try again in a minute.

Is there a certain way to shift between 4H and 4L? Like do it quickly between the two, or pause for a moment at neutral before going on to the next position?

I don't think it was used much, if any, before I got it. It was owned by older folks and really seems to have been used very lightly.

Yep. Rolled over 235 on my way home tonight. Ok, I'll just shut it off before going into 4L which is super rare for me other than the past couple weekends. Probably used it more in the past 3 weeks than in the past couple years put together.

Yeah, that definitely works, but I have to turn off the engine in neutral to do it without a grind. I don't mind doing it that way, just wasn't sure if that was the proper way, or if something was wrong.

Definitely. I'm definitely 100% stopped for sure. Yeah I won't force it, and with caution, I turn it off and the vibration I'm feeling may be relatively low. I don't have anything to compare it to being as this is the only 4x4 truck I've ever owned.
