    Someone Backed Into Me!!

Bummer man. Lucky that's all that happened. Body shop could have that done in a half a day for $200 bucks or less and it's fixed... no use wasting any more time being frustrated. Best of luck!

    Getting a deal on a 2012 Trail?

If you can wait till mid-late summer you should be able to save a few grand.... in 2008 when gas went through the roof SUV's and trucks dropped like a rock. New and used car dealers were doing all they could to unload their inventory. The same would be true if you're looking for a gas saver...

    Bfg km2?

You're a waste of space... why answer this person with that sort of response? Pathetic! OP, you should be fine with minimal rubbing on the triangle. (triangle = lowest part of the wheel well to the ground) If you trim the triangle off you should be fine. Best of luck!

Gen4 owner considering other SUVs next

I've been selling GX470's and the like in the Lexus flavor for the last 3 years. From what you've said, the GX sounds right up your alley. I agree with you 100%... the 4runner is a little less then refined even in the LTD variant. For most people this is fine and the 4runner suites their day...

    Leather steering wheel swap

As I understood it, the air bag is a separate part and the larger center portion of the wheel (the airbag) stays put in the event of a steering wheel swap.... just the outside portion of the steering wheel and audio controls get swapped as that is it's own part. Thanks for the great information...

    max tire size

What is the overall purpose of your 4runner? Do you just want a bigger tire for looks, is this your daily driver, will you be offroading/weekend camping and exploring??? If you just want the 4runner to look a little better with a larger tire and stock suspension then the 265 or 255 would look...

    Leather steering wheel swap

I'm looking for a 5th gen SR5 with cloth seats. Everyone I've found has a non-leather steering wheel. This will not do. My 4th gen SR5 has a leather wrapped steering wheel and it's something I've come quite accustomed to! So... can you swap a leather wheel with a non-leather wheels? TIA

    4runner is now complete w/ 35's!

Think your numbers are backwards.... it should be just the opposite. Larger tire means you're travelling further then you would with the stock size tire. Computer (odometer) would say you traveled less than you actually traveled.

265 or 285 with cornfed 3/2 lift ... looking for pics

Dude, the OP didn't ask for your oppinion about what the rig would look like or if he needed spidertrax or allpro wheels spacers any more then the opinion/suggestion the others had about the tranny cooler... It's just people helpin people. BTW, of course you'd probably be fine without the...

    New UCA's or not?

ARK SWAMP RIDER, I'm surprised you'd even dignify his comment with a response... regardless, you're spot on and the sad reality is it most likely fell on deaf ears. He's said the like in other threads.... OME & 32's looks and rides wonderfully... BTW, WTF do you care! Back on track... OP...

Im thinking about selling my baby

Most Credit Unions will lend up to 125% of the NADA value of the vehicle so long as the borrowers credit is strong. (740+ fico score) Good luck with the sale!

    I cant make a decision!

I'd normally say "do it right the first time" and tell you to get the new shocks/springs or coilovers but it sounds like money is tight for you so.... I'd get a good set of 265 all terrain tires and wait a few months to get a a decent suspension lift when money isnt so tight. I think in the...

New to Toyota Looking to buy a 2007-2008 4runner

We came from an A4 Avant.... after 3 years of being European auto repairs free I can tell you we are much happier. Expect to be paying more at the pump as your MPG will likely drop from the mid 20's to the high teens. If you plan to modify the 4runner with added weight, lift & larger tires...

    Lift Install Woes, day 8...

Glad you were able to get it all done... can be a bit of a bugger. After seeing the photo of the front setup, there sure is a lot of threads showing on the top of the coilover. For some reason I thought the OW lift was to only be lifted as much as 1" of threads showing... Wiser minds please...
