I drove a 3rd generation for 10 Northern Michigan winters. It sucked driving it the first winter with all-season tires. I ran it for several winters with a set of Hankook Dynapro ATM's and it got around quite well, but they didn't compare to actual snow tires.
Update. I checked the casting numbers on one of my 2011 rims this morning, and they are 17x7 with a 15mm offset. I ordered a new set of alloy rims with the same specs from an e-bay vendor for $349, free shipping. I hope to just install valve stems and ignore the warning light.
I'm in the same boat. I own a 2011 and just purchased a set of Nokian R2's for the winter. I plan on picking up another set of stock alloy rims to mount them on. Does anyone know if a set of 2018 alloys will fit my 2011 correctly?
