I was going to leave it stock this time build thread

All this talk about the l/r springs I could not remember if I had checked to see that I put in the right sides! Out laying in my drive and what do you know they are in the right spots. Memory is going. With a full tank of fuel still looks like it has a very slight lean. Most likely after a bit I...

Tire Comparison: Is it worth it?

Had them both. I like the Duratracs better. 200 bucks is a pretty big swing but as mentioned above whats 50 bucks a year over 4 years for the best looking A/T tire on the road. Every time you see a truck with them you will wish you had them! Teaser pic

Dura Tracs Or BFG's! That seems to be the ultimate questions here?

I have owned both and have the Duratracs on now. Just went through an absolute down poor with huge ruts on the I-90 and they were glued to the road even changing lanes through the ruts. I have always run the bf's in the past and got tired of all the small stones the bf a/t held on to from gravel...

I think the combo works well together. With no extra weight it rides well and with 300# it rides even better. As far as articulation I don't have anything to compare to. The Bilstein is billed as a soft ride and I think that is accurate. A stiffer valving might be perfect but, now I'm splitting...

You know you're a Third Generation 4Runner owner when...

When you pull up next to other 4x's and just feel smug. That's right my truck is better than yours!

    Another one bites the dust.

Glad you all walked away. Always seems to be the norm with these trucks when they roll over(walking away that is). Seems to be a topic that does not get much press around the boards. Toyota builds a product that leads the pack when it comes to safety. In my book a rollover over 40mph is extreme...

    Help!!! Stumped by crazy noise

Just wondering if you replaced the crush sleeve and reset the preload on your pinon when you did the seal? It could be gear issues, carrier bearings, or pinon bearings. There is a lot of info on differential set up available and it should help explain checking backlash, preload etc. Might be...

I went with the 5125 shock option. Toytec said I could go with either. Reason for me was the extra travel was not that big of deal and I wanted the top mount adapters that come with the 5125's in case I ever want to go with a different shock in the rear it would give me more options given the...
