I use ShopKeyPro pretty regularly and also have AllData. they do tend to have different information listed, but they can be a pretty handy tool. I work on a wide range of vehicles so it made sense for me; if you're only going to work on your 4r, invest in a FSM.

thanks Bijan, That kinda looks like a lift kit in addition to just replacement shocks though. am I right? I'd like to keep this thing as close to stock as possible with just a more comfortable ride.

I would start by cleaning/replacing the cam and crank position sensors. i'm relatively new to the 4runner, but most cars receive their engine speed input via those two sensors. vehicle speed is via the electro/magnetic speed sensor in the tranny (the one that controls the speedo in the cab). so...
