LT tires need more air pressure.

The easiest scenario for knowing the "best" pressure is door sticker pressure on stock size/type tires. In that light, the number from Toyo makes perfect sense for the tire you're running. 26psi closely approximates the load capacity of stock tires at door sticker pressure.

Difference between 4lo and 4hi in low gear?

There is a small difference on paper. Lo range 3rd is slightly lower but functionally you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. As I think I recall from running them through a gear calculator and backed up by observation, at around 15mph there is a difference of about 1/2 mph at the same RPM.

    Pharmacy Adventures (and question)

Fascinating. I had no idea there was so much discretion involved. Now I understand why people want a relationship with a pharmacy. I should celebrate my ignorance on the matter as it was the result of having had very little need for pharmacy contact over the years. Thanks again.

    Pharmacy Adventures (and question)

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Happy to have the info. I managed to victimize myself with my own pet peeve - asking a poor question. Reading my post again, I see that what I was seeking was vague at best. I was perplexed by the inconsistency and seeming randomness of the info I was...

    Pharmacy Adventures (and question)

Details were incomplete. Only intended as a brief foundation for the curiosity/question about pharmacy practices.

    Pharmacy Adventures (and question)

Unfortunately, complexity provides good cover for that sort of thing.

    Pharmacy Adventures (and question)

Must be a Pharmacist around here or someone close to the profession. Had some dental work done and had a written prescription for Hydrocodone/Acetaminaphen 10-325 (because I was needing to squeeze Motrin 800 into smaller intervals than 6hrs). Dental office manager said this prescription could...

    Tire Load Rating

Yeah, that's right. My error. The mere fact that you can hardly find a load D these days should have clued me in to that. Happily, that detail changes very little of what I wrote to the OP.

    Tire Load Rating

The 121 would be an LT tire in load D (assuming 265/70/17). You'd no doubt like the tow handling better than with the stock P-metric tire. Depends how much towing you do. The question is whether the trade-off would be worth it to you - heavier, stiffer riding (but more so because of the extra...

4x4 ok at high way speeds?

Simple, sound advice. The best short statement I can think of is "use it when you need it". Such situations are not frequent. Should anyone wish to nerd out: Locked 4wd on dry pavement - Center diff lock as VSC OFF switch

Locked 4wd on dry pavement - Center diff lock as VSC OFF switch

Appreciated. I haven't regularly read the forum for 4 or 5 years, but did so constantly for a decade before that. Never heard of the issue you mention. I'd be inclined to test it many times to make sure it's not random. But if the phenomenon is real, it is indeed an odd one. Hope you get it...

No need for temp check mode: Eas(ier) ways to check WS transmission fluid level

Glad it worked out. Am I to understand that you were on the original fluid before this? Not being critical at all. I just like to collect data on the never ending mystery of the "lifetime" ATF.

4th gen v8 start motor location

I like hearing the term "started to die". Any warning at all would be a massive outcome difference in remote conditions. I'd love to hear opinions on what the typical failure mode is.

4th gen v8 start motor location

Hmm...I wonder if there's a point where preventative replacement makes sense. I spend a fair amount of time in remote locations. I'm prepared to do very basic repairs as well as bite the expense bullet on the off chance that on-trail aid is required. But something that goes beyond what could be...
