I just did this and wasn't bad at all! Thanks for the write up! It might be a known thing but after a long time of frustration I figured out that it's a lot easier to reinstall the unit if you pull the lock cylinder

Check the nut on top of the strut.

I have a 4400 lb 24' camper and I wouldn't want any bigger than that with my v6. I have a brake controller and a giant transmission cooler. Never had any issues but it's kind of stressful. I would much rather be using a full size truck

If it's just your pump that's bad, it is compatible with 99-04 Lexus gs300 or 400. They are easier to find in salvage yards
