Anyone drive their V6 4Runner in 4wd all of the time?

My 2006 V6 has been in 4H for at least the last 10 years. I occasionally switch back to 2H for a few minutes just to exercise the TC (similarly to how I switch to 4L occasionally). No ill effects, but I'm sure the mileage is slightly worse.

    Tire Chains...Anyone run 'em?

I had the OME lift (~3") at the time. I think, IIRC, the area I most worried about rubbing was the UCA. More backspacing (and most aftermarket UCAs) gives a bit more clearance here. I supposed if the wheel was fully stuffed and cranked, there is the possibility of contacting elsewhere, but I...

    Tire Chains...Anyone run 'em?

I ran the diamond style (these IIRC) front and rear and they were fine. They are lower clearance than the larger traditional chains. At the time I had 16" Pro Comp wheels from Wheeler's Offroad (4.5" backspacing?) with 265/75R16 GY MTRs and stock UCAs. No rubbing issues.

    XenonDepot H11 4300k HID kit $30

SOLD XenonDepot HID kit: 4300k H11. One light does not work. It is the ballast or ignitor (I switched bulbs and both work fine on the good side; both don't work on bad side). I got fed up with it and ripped it out. Good spare bulbs and at least 1 ballast/ignitor for someone who already...

Looking for help with my three biggest complaints

Re: seats Any pics or writeup on how it was done? Was fitting it pretty straightforward?

    Alaska

I had a safe in my center console in my Sequoia, but I don't feel like the 4Runner console is big enough for it to be worth while (too large a percentage of the total space would be wasted with the safe itself and the unfilled space around it). I was thinking of an actual holster that bolted to...

Where do you get such a thing? If it is what I am thinking of, I have been looking for something like this for years.

    Flex fuel faulted?

I see the humor here, but that wouldn't work either. Part of the reason the prices for other crops (wheat and rice for example) have increased so dramatically is that farmers are planting corn INSTEAD, because the price is higher. The decrease in supply of those crops causes their price to...

    Flex fuel faulted?

Absolutely! It seems people are finally catching on to this corrupt nonsense. Not really. There is more and more evidence showing that this is not true. Even Time magazine is reporting it. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1725975-1,00.html

Looking for 2006 spoiler (with the HUMP)

I was thinking of taking mine off. I don't like it. Want to buy it? :) Seriously, I seem to remember someone saying they could be found on e-bay, but I never looked (for obvious reasons).

Snow in Columbus, OH - No prob! :)

I doubt 4Lo would have helped. Maybe front and rear lockers, but its hard to guess without having seen how you were stuck. In situations like snow, you are typically traction limited, so the weak link is usually the tires. Good snow tires would probably have helped keep you out of the ditch...

    HID kit help

Yes, but I had to spread the pins with a small screwdriver to get it to fit though. Yes, they have separate relays, so they need separate signals. I connected it to the battery (in my case I connected it through my auxiliary fusebox, but you can connect it directly b/c it has a fuse built in...
