01 rear bumper and flares/mud flaps

you must not have the tow hitch on the truck, that hitch has saved my rear end a few times when getting hit from behind....the other guys get the car/truck smashed and I drive away with maybe a scratch or two but no real damage to the bumper because the hitch takes the brunt of the hit....

    rear hatch swap

What you have is the pre-face lift '98 and you want to replace it with the face-lifted '99 (the years for pre-face lift are '96-'98 and the facelift years are '99-02) you will need the wiring harness and the blue box from your truck transfered into the the new tailgail of the '99....if it works...

    Sideview Mirror

You don't have to remove the inside door panel to remove the 4runner mirrors....just the tweeter cover is removed, then disconnect the mirror plug there, and the three bolts that hold the mirror on.

Were 16" Wheels an Option off the Lot?

All 4X4 Limited and Sports came with 16's, the NON 4X4 Limited, Sports, SR5 and base models came with 15's and could be upgraded to 16's, until 2002 when all T4Rs came with 16's

Nice looking T4R Limited 4x4 on CL.

It is a 2001 Sport, it doesn't have the "SE" badge on the door but it does have the bumpers same as the body color and it has the hood scoop, it also has the silver dash/door panels. I'm like you 2002tii why was the engine replaced if it was "very well maintained"? Also why remove the door...

    Sport hood switch QUICK Q&A!

Try this from ebay....(you will still need the inserts and bolts/screen etc etc etc, these are a dealership only items.) and you will also need to paint it green to match your truck, but way cheaper for this hood than the dealership..... Toyota 4Runner 99 02 Hood with Hood Scoop | eBay

    98 dealer-installed fog/driving lights

Try these...and you'd only have to find/fab one piece of straight metal (since the hole in the bumper is at an angle) to attach them...and they are narrow so you don't have to cut the plastic from the valance.... If you still have the old hood w/insulator, recheck the fitment, because I also did a hood swap and it fit just fine....you may check the the holes for the plastic tabs and you might have to drill an extra hole or two but the insulator should fit the new hood w/scoop I have a '01 non limited...

    Heat Shield for Hood

what you are calling a heat sheild is actually a duel device, it does work as a heat sheild but it was also designed as a fire suppression blanket. The plastic tabs are supposed to melt and the blanket will then drop to cover the motor, and I believe that is/was a dealership only item...(I could...
