Pardon the ignorance....I had an 05 sport that I put almost 200k on. In the market for another 4runner, 08 or 09 and I was trying to figure out what if any trd wheel combo and tire will fit with stock suspension and not rub?
Thanks!
Took a weekend drive from CT to NH with a ride up mount Washington. Hit 1500 miles halfway up but couldn't snap a photo, my wife would have killed me. No shortage of people cooking their brakes on the way down. Tomorrow is a clean and detail...have to get the 1000 bugs off the windshield.
Not sure if this is a solution albeit temporary. What if I were to run a zip tie around the uca joint above or below the c clip? If it were to be snug but not super tight it really wouldn't inhibit anything I don't think. IF the ball joint would fail I don't think a zip-tie would interfere...
Pretty sure your "looks like there's already 2 solutions on here, no?" wasn't exactly neighborly but hey, you can take internet conversation however you'd like it. I was just reiterating what I wrote, and I didn't get up on the wrong side of the bed I don't sleep.....:focus:
I would hope that...
I've got a 15 sr5 and have been having that tin like, metal on metal rattle noise coming from the front end. The only way I can describe the sound is if you took a handful of metal coat hangers and dropped them on concrete. When the truck is parked if I hit the front tires hard on the sidewall...
Finally got around to plasti-dip my front emblem...added a set of weathertech's front, rear and in the cargo area.
Put my token union sticker on the rear window and am taking it today to the shop to have the front windows tinted. Planning on putting my T4R stickers on later today. Went ahead...
I've got a quick question for those of you in the know when it comes to detailing and cleaning vehicles in general. I just picked up a 15 SR5 MGM and would like to put together a "kit" of cleaning supplies and products for the vehicle. My goal is to keep it smaller and less complicated...
I hate to ask a silly question...but here it goes:
I want to paint or plasti-dip the rack on my sr5...If i remove the rack, plasti-dip and re assemble is there anything that I need to do other than reinstall? Should I add more loc-tite to the threads or will re-installation be a good enough...
It is very easy....silly easy.
As far as the tires...I think im going to go with the 275-70-17 They widen the stance a little bit but they really look great and ive heard awesome things about their traction in the snow and ice
Ill chime in now that I've owned a 5th Gen for 24 hours now. I guess I fall into the "mod" category for looks and functionality. I went with the sr5 base after having a tacoma with the TRD off road package etc. I live in CT...we don't have many trails around here that I see myself going on...
Hey everyone, I've been a member here for quite some time and was faced with a dilemma. I currently have a 14 tacoma DC TRD Off road that I am trading in. Friday I will be picking up a 15 sr5 MGM from the dealer. Is there anything that I need to be looking for or should pay attention to on the...
