that may be, but it would appear that since your mileage is looking to be correct, the 3rd cat can't be causing any issue... I would imagine so long as there's no O2 behind the 3rd cat you can probably yank it without a problem, or get a simulator/spark plug non fouler to trick the rear O2 once...

nice! There's a v6 limited at a dealership near me that's a twin to your truck but I can't freakin afford it :( I like the look of that light bar though. If/when I do end up with a 4th gen that's probably gonna be my first mod. Do you have any pics of it lit up at night?

for a v8 that doesn't seem off at all if you have a bit of a heavy foot...most of what I find for v8s says 15-19 is average.

That would seem pretty low since EPA says 17/21 for the 4x4 v6...what about air filter, tire pressures, alignment, etc.? I'd go with that stuff before I worried about a cat or plugs. Fuel filter shouldn't be a problem since it's in tank, unless you run it below a quarter regularly.

While the frequency of having to do this is pretty low, it's really bad for the ballasts to fire and then turn off right away when flashing the beams. If you turn the highs on for a while, then have to turn them off briefly, then put them back on it's no big deal, but PnP HID ballasts hate...
