It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me either. For whatever reason, the iPhone 11 problem seems to be related to the new charger/connector, not the car. Had the same problem on my wife’s Honda and the adapter fixed it there too. I can make calls just fine on Bluetooth but CarPlay does not work...
