+1 the hub-centric design "locks" the assembly together, much better than relying on the ligs alone. i wouldn't use the inferior spacers, there's too much riding on it.

i wouldn't trust brake lines with coolant. they're not designed for water and i suspect they would rust-out even faster than original. my 2c.

i have a friend with what someother "mechanic" diagnosed as bad freeze plugs.... '97 V6. any ideas of which freeze plug go first? locations? any help would be great. if it turns out to be an easy repair, i will buy the truck for a great price.
