Just got a call from the dealer today letting me know my dash FINALLY arrived. It was ordered back in Oct 2015. Dropping my 4Runner off next Monday to have it installed. Service rep said it took almost a year for his GX470 dash to come in!

FJ Cruiser suspension components are a relatively cheap way of lifting it. Plenty of info on here to help you accomplish it. I say keep it as well.
