Drain and fill one extra differential as well as the transfercase. Nothing too difficult and doesnt require any special tools.

Well, sometimes the air lock can get clogged with gunk. Try pulling the lock and hose (if one is present) and cleaning them...

Did you recently drain and refill the diff? Has any work been performed on the axle recently? If so, you might have simply overfilled the differential with oil.

My dad has owned a F250 PSD (7.3L) for the past ten years and that thing wont quit. I've used it to haul my toys all across this country. There's nothing like towing 6000lbs with the cruise control set and still getting 18mpg. I've also had minimal problems with my 4R...
