There is a manual way to close it, you have to push the button a certain way. Get it closed and leave it closed. I disconnected the motor after I got it shut.

2011 M3... I like the 1's, try to get a 1M if you can swing it, they should be available towards the end of the year. I wouldn't keep a BMW out of warranty unless you have a great European mechanic around :-D

I'll tell you one thing about the 4Runner fob/remote (mine at least)... Sucker has the longest range of any fob I have ever used/seen! I'm BMW is good for about 10', I can use my 4R's inside the house, a few stories up, you name it.

I was stoked and holding out for a 5th Gen, then I saw one, then I sat in one, then I drove one... I went and bought a BMW and kept my V8 4Runner, I have the best of both worlds. I'm holding on to my truck until it costs too much money to keep on the road, which doesn't look like will happen...

From what I've read on this forum, the projectors really aren't ALL THAT great/improvement... Plus, you'd have to get the front body /grill parts and you still have that gap. I'd just stick with the ones from our years, that what I plan to do, but my lights still have some life to them.

Have you tried to clean them? Adams makes a carpet fabric cleaner that is downright wonderful and super simple to use. I got a mud stain out that has been there for years, took about a minute.

I love/hate the places that try to change you to remove/replace the rotors... Like there is really ANY work involved. :bash:

I had Centric rotors (plain) and Stoptech pads, I went through them pretty quick (warped rotors) and didn't see any benefit... This could have been because of a poor install, I dunno. I just installed EBC plain OEM rotors and green pads, had the dealer do the work because nobody seems to do...

FWIW: Keep what you throw in there fairly light, I have a buddy who used to fill his up with beer bottles, the piece broke after a couple of years. I only use mine on road trips, it is quite handy. Wal-Mart bags are cheap, I use Target bags, they seem to hold up better and have less tears/holes...

It's not is any way tied into the computer... Mines been removed for almost 75,000 miles. You don't even really need to remove the lines or resevior (sp). They just cut the lines and installed the new shocks.
