you can turn it by hand because the front diff is open and the power go to the ADD side ,but when you drive the vehicule ,the driver side wheel transfer rotation to the driveshaft because this side dont have ADD

it is not the shock or aligment because it stop with the driveshaft remove it is an ADD and the driveshaft is free in 2wd (turn by hand ) but it is turning when drive (i paint a red dot on it and drive in 2wd and the dot change of position)

i did alot of reading and i found nothing my (new) 96 4runner make a cyclic sound in the front, kind of hum hum hum it start at about 40mph and is speed related ,the faster i go the faster is the sound, in gear or neutral or clutch depress it keep on humming at any rpm. new balljoint ,new front...
