Just did this monday, I did not have to bend any hanger. It looks like maybe the tail pipe comes close to where it goes over the rear axle but I haven't heard any banging or rattling.

Check your upper ball joints, place a long bar under the bushing area of the control arm but on top of the ball joint and push down and see if the joint moves, there shouldn't be any movement.

Do the folks that have done a rebuild on their front calipers have a recommendation for a rebuild kit for them? I know aftermarket is generally a crap shoot but how do they compare to OEM quality? Any negatives that you've experienced? BTW this is for a 07 limited with a v6 and larger calipers...

There are many variables, I'm talking generally speaking.

If your doing most driving on pavement your tires will wear in the center much faster! You don't go by the tires inflation rating, you go by what the vehicle manufacturer recommends, that is if you want even tire wear.

My 07 Limited does not have all of the full power features.

I use the 5th wheel grease from liquid wrench, its a moly/graphite grease. I first pulled the driveshaft apart to clean all the old grease out then smeared the new grease on both male and female splines, put back together and added about 10 pumps or so of grease in the zerk and have had zero...

Those are the same part numbers that I got. I purchased mine from rockauto.

When I did mine on a 2007 I also purchased the KYB quick struts, the part number was the same for the fj cruiser as well, not sure if that has anything to do with it? I was going to do the daystar leveling kit but decided against it and I'm glad I did as I think it would have been nose high.

I have read about using boiled linseed oil, its old school but from what Im reading it seems to have worked for rust proofing. I sprayed it with a touch of oil based black paint and used a paint gun with low pressure as to somewhat control overspray. It took 3 to 5 days to dry and it stinks...

If you can't find Kroil, equal parts transmission fluid and acetone work very well.
