I know this thread is old, but I just found it and I gotta say WOW! I can't hit the "Like" button enough for this 4Runner's story. Makes me wish (well, almost) I lived in Winston-Salem so you could work on my '90 model! What a great truck. Love the photos...especially the one of your dog...

Just now found this thread. Love what you've done here. I might be a bit biased, but as the original owner of a '90 4Runner, I think this is the prettiest body style of all. Compliments on what looks to be a great and thorough job. Love the photos, too. :cheers:

Okay, I know this subject's been brought up who-knows-how-many times, but I'm still looking for help. The tailgate window (surfer window) on my '90 4Runner goes up and down just fine using the console switch. But using the key in the tailgate switch, the window goes down, but will not go back...

Seven hundred-fifty bucks?!? And no one called the cops on you as you trailered it away? Wow. I'm sure you'll spend (or have spent) a good bit of money on it, but still...long as you have the time, that sounds like a bargain to me. :cheers:

On my '90 4Runner, the rear window console switch works fine. But the key switch on the tailgate will only lower the window...it won't raise it. Toyota dealer is clueless as to how to fix it. Do you have any suggestions? I'd love to hear them.

I like the 4Runner. Don't see what the pickup and dead deer have to do with 4Runners, though. :nono:
