I tried to make myself something similar however the magnets just didn't work. They fell at the littlest bump. I tried to search for larger magnets, but wasn't having much luck. Nice job.

I have a 2003 4Runner sr5 v6 with 122k miles. Bought it used with only 20k. It is still running strong with only minor repairs.

I think a v8 would be a better choice. I'm not sure about your v6 but my manual says I cannot use a weight distribution hitch. However with that said I haul a 3000 pound popup camper with my 4runner without any issues. I only use a sway bar. I'm sure the v6 can handle it, but you will be...
