I noticed you asked a question about the PCV valve on another thread, and didn't want to thread jack that one. Here is a link to a write up on another forum.
Wash and wax. It's nice and clean now. I wish I would have had the time and materials to clay bar it. I believe this is the most attention I've given the exterior since I bought it in '02.
You might check/clean the MAF. My 2000 V6 would lope on start-up, after sitting for a while, at random. Eventually the MIL came on with a lean condition. Here's a decent post on cleaning the MAF.
