Happened to me on the 3rd gen, don't know if I caused by overfilling but that little canister was expensive to replace..this was long before I started working on my own car. I guess they mean it when they say, don't top-up!!!

When I did my own timing belt I read this thread and debated positioning. In the end I went with what the book said (and what the original OEM one was at after the Toyota Dealer did first timing belt) and that was 12 o'clock. (ish) Funnily enough my temperature dial went to exactly the same...

2001 SR5 4x4 stock wheels 340-360 on a full tank highway..much less than that short distance, 280'ish. So 16-20 MPG (usual fill is about 17 Gallons)
