OP: let us know what happens. I just changed my timing belt, the tensioner pullies, and the belts. have some noise at RPM >3k, so wondering if you have similar issue. I tightened based on feel, didn't have a belt tension gauge.

Picked up a 2002 with 188,000 miles. Pretty regular oil changes, but hard to tell what else has been done. Changed all the fluids first. This weekend started the timing belt - which looks to be original.

Rear axle looks pretty rusted over, but nearly impossible to tell from the photo. Ask the dude to send some decent photos, ask for 10 at least. If he wants to sell the truck, he'll take some photos. If he's hiding something, and won't take any reasonable photos, you don't want that truck anyhow...

Anyone have info on installing the Bisltein 5160 in the rear of the 3rd gen? Seen only a couple threads, but since they are none made specifically for 3rd gens, does someone have part #s / additional parts that were required to get them to fit?
