I did the hewitt bypass and Live in CA, easily passed smog. Nothing about the kit looks aftermarket so unless the tech REALLY knows that they are looking for it's no problem. Most SMOG techs just look for blatant aftermarket parts.

Not only that, but if a flying belt gets caught up in other spinning parts, that could be a disaster too. When in doubt it's better to pay $900-1200 now than regret it later IMO

I have an aftermarket steel bumper so no trimming on the bumper, but the liner needed some trimming and pinch weld flattnend and BMC. But it does fit. :)
