Our wheelbase is long enough to not really warrant a diff drop. You only need these on short-wheel based cars such as jeep wranglers or maybe FJs since their drive shafts tend to be shorter and are affected more by lifts. But even on those you don't really need them until you go beyond 3".

Save yourself some money and do it yourself. It is very straight forward, almost as easy an oil change or tire rotation. Direct bolt in basically. Can easily be done in 2 hours.

Are you sure you have the 1kz-te and not the 1kd-ftv? The 1kz-te was produced only until 2004. I know the 1kz-te was strictly latin america but the 1kd-ftv was also for central/south america. Just curious that is all.

No way, the v8 4.7l is already squeezed in there. Did you see the factory exhaust manifolds on the v8s, they are cramped to begin with? You would have to do some serious modifications to fit a 5.7L. I think the ls1 (gm 5.7L) might be an easier fit since it was designed for cars. I have seen...

check the exhaust manifold for leaks, if so make them take off at least 1k since that is the going rate for new exhaust manifolds. Also check all the 4wd things and such. It seems a very reasonable price.

The only way toyota will cover this out of warranty is through a recall and for that to happen people are going to have to be seriously hurt or worse caused by the cracks interfering with the passenger airbag deployment. Toyota or any car manufacture doesn't like recalls because it is bad pr.

99% of the time towing capacity is almost always based on brakes/stopping. Haven't you seen the toyota commercial for a stock 5.7L tundra towing (10k towing capacity) a space shuttle that weights 240,000 lbs? They don't show you in the commercial how the truck stops and I guarantee you it isnt...
