As said above, LFD crossbars. They're very strong, and get the roof box a little higher off the roof, and the front bar (I think) can be slid slightly further forward compared to the stock crossbars.

I'd cool my jets on supercharging the 5th gen. The cost, drop in gas mileage, strain on the transmission, plus it would hurt resale for a lot of future buyers... What about getting the new 4runner with an extended genuine Toyota warranty? Isn't there a guy on here that gives good deals on...

My 2011 will hold firm in place with no brake or accelerator input if I do this: when it starts to creep backwards I give a little accelerator bump, then if need be touch the brake (if needed) and it holds still until I pull away.

2011 SR5 here, drove a friends 2023 Limited for about 45 minutes, felt the same way. I think you made a smart move. Makes me think of the 2002 Limited, the end of a solid run with great options.

Had to replace a shift linkage bushing in my wife's old Chevy Trailblazer, likely not your issue but it solved our problem, it was stuck in park and you couldn't budge the shifter. Hope your fix works, good luck!

That Gear Edge one looks good for the money. Similar to the Husky I bought which I've been happy with. I have no 3rd row or sliding cargo tray. The Husky is now $119 so if that Gear Edge one is good I'd go for that all day for $50 on ebay if you can replicate the deal posted above. Amazon.com
