I went with General Grabber AT2, winter rated and only around $150 each on Tire Rack. no complaints in the NC ice we get every year. we don't have plows, just zambonis. smooth on road, decent off.

mine does the same thing. there is a small black button near the parking brake that I have to press for a few seconds when in park with the key turned partially, then a red light on the dash lights up. definitely aftermarket.

The FJ Springs are a pretty cost effective combo when going with 5100's and the front height adjusted up to 1.75 or higher. it might look hokey with the stock tires, but you could probably get a couple hundred or so on craigslist if they really are new.

My 07 came with Weathertech, and I have to recommend. only issue being sand sometimes get between the liner and door. but it is windy out on the OBX, so maybe I just need to keep my doors closed...

I just picked up some General Grabber AT2s off TireRack.com, 265/70/18s for $156, they're snow rated, and decently priced with a 60K warranty.
