Wiring up driving lights to high beam

I have my driving lights wired to only turn on when the brights are on. The trick is that the factory wiring for the brights is switched on the ground side. So if you use a relay for your driving lights ground the trigger to the ground wire for the brights. Thus the relay will only switch on...

Help Me Solve My Suspension Issues! (Body Mount Rub on 285s)

blakkbox covered this above, but make sure the rear alignment cam bolts are maxed out to push the wheels forward. The rear cam lobes should be pointed inwards. With your aftermarket UCAs the alignment shop should be able to get the alignment into spec, or with extra caster. An alignment shop...

    COM10T Snap Ring Size

I need a new snap ring after installing new COM10T bearings on my Radflo shocks. Anyone know the size/generic part number for the snap ring? I'm assuming they are all pretty much the same for Radflo/Fox/Ico/etc. I'd like to source one locally to get my truck back on the road. Sorry for the...

Snap Ring Size for COM10T Bearing?

I've been spending my lockdown doing some deferred maintenance on my 4Runner and replaced the COM10T bearings at the top and bottom of the Radflo 2.5" shocks. For course I had the bearings to put in, but did not even think about the clips that hold them in. One of the four clips was already...

    Roof top tent

I have the same RTT and have been using the LFD ruggedized cross bars. Very strong and secure. Great option for less than $200, rather than buying a rack that costs as much as the tent. LFD Off Road - Ruggedized Crossbar 4th Gen

    Roof weight max and Kayaks

I’ve highwayed and offroaded with 2 two-person kayaks, which is probably well beyond what Toyota rates the rack and cross bars for. Worked fine, except when it got windy. Most important step is to watch your load and use common sense.

    Reno Runners

Try try the local forum at reno4x4.com—lots of good local information and trail runs from time to time. I live in South Reno, but have been doing my own service so unfortunately don’t have any recomendations of my own. Best, J4R

    4WD lights won’t stop blinking

My guess it that it is your ADD actuator also. I have a v6 4th gen also and from time to time have issues. The ADD actuator is not easy to get to. When I had my front diff out I sprayed some WD40 into the actuator breather and have not had issues since. The 4th gen ADD is similar, but...

    LFD Offroad Ruggedized Crossbars

I've ordered a RTT and am looking at these crossbars to mount it also. Maybe a LFD Black Friday sale?

CV Axle Replacement - Last-Minute Question

For #1 you can take the center cap off your wheel and put the wheel back on the hub—lower to the ground and it won’t move. Or put in 4 wheel drive and leave the other 3 wheels on the ground. #2, more than a tablespoon for me, and I had drained the front diff already. Might depend on how the...

    Inconsistent steering wheel vibration

+1 on this. I just replaced my front pads and rotors (and one stuck front caliper), and that fixed a steering wobble that I did not realize was related to the brakes. I just assumed it was part of being lifted on 33". I was surprised that the stuck caliper wasn't more noticeable...
