I live in NC as well. I was able to buy my Pro new in 2017 for roughly 5% below MSRP. The dealer I worked with currently has two 2019 Pros on the lot, I'm sure they'll deal. PM me if interested.
I went with a 20 inch Baja S8 and used the MTN4RNR method. Here is his detailed write up of the process. I used a Dremel with a carbide bit instead of a stepped drill bit to widen the holes on the stock S8 brackets.
I had the same issue you're describing with my '17 TRD Pro. I was able to consistently generate the noise with sharp low speed turns while accelerating. Any action that generated moderate side to side body roll would make the noise.
