Horn Wiring - Troubleshooting non working horn

ok cool. Yeh, I've been reading that lately in my searching around. I will test the horns themselves first and check all the relays and fuses. If that is all good, would grounding the ground wire from the clock spring make the horn go off?

Horn Wiring - Troubleshooting non working horn

I'm troubleshooting my horn as the horn does not work when pushing the horn pad on the steering wheel. I know the horn itself works because when the alarm goes off the horn goes off. I am trying to read through the wiring diagram and all i can find is that the horn to the horn switch is a...

    Steering Wheel Clunk/rattle/noise solved (03 Tilt/Telescope wheel)

are you talking about this part? (ignore the mark ups. i took this pic from the internet). But you loosened the lower bolt and increased the gap between that sleeve and the ribbed shaft below?

    Steering Wheel Clunk/rattle/noise solved (03 Tilt/Telescope wheel)

I found the part number. 45210-35250 Expensive little bugger. But i do see it avail for about $230 from Japan. I do see OEM ones on eBay too. You really don't think it could also be that plastic pivot part that could be causing the slop?

    Steering Wheel Clunk/rattle/noise solved (03 Tilt/Telescope wheel)

hi. any update to this? I am having the same problem. I tried all sorts of tricks that I saw on the forums. I even bought the new lower shaft which solved NOTHING. :( After thinking about it and feeling out the clunk, I swear its further up the shaft. I thought it might be the...

Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

whoa really? Is that for the 4th gen before the face lift? The later 4th gens fenders are different but not sure how different. I have some stuff in the cargo area but I don't think THAT much to drop it 1.5" when not loaded with camping gear and kids. Oh but I did forget to mention that I am...

Dobinsons Suspension - 4th Gen Options

677v height after settling I had the 675s in previously and they were at 23" from center hub to fender. That was when I was "unloaded" with no kids and no camping gear... just about 75#s of gear i always have in the cargo area. I have a DIY 80/20 "Frontrunner" style rack I'd say about 125#...

Rear Helper Air Bags - do they limit up travel

Oh yeh, I saw that. Pretty nifty that he was able to do both single and dual air paths. My thought was how fast does the air move from one side to the other through that tiny hose. I supposed when articulating when crawling doesnt call for fast suspension cycles anyways....

Rear Helper Air Bags - do they limit up travel

I'm looking to install some helper air bags to increase spring rate when wheeling with a load (camp gear, some tools and family) without having to change to heavier spring rate rear springs for everyday use. I've looked around on here and most people use them for towing on road. However, I...

Steering shaft replacement - OEM or aftermarket

The movement is very very small. I can feel a noticable slight clunk. And when I'm wheeling and going over rocks I can feel a noticable clunk when I get feedback in the steering wheel from the rocks. As for the rack, I put a new OEM one in a few months ago so I know that is solid.

Steering shaft replacement - OEM or aftermarket

I haven't replace any steering part yet but I had time to try to tshoot and isolate the issue further today. So when I wiggle the steering wheel back and forth ever so slightly and put my hand under the dash and hold the steering shaft, I can definitely feel something clunking very slightly...

Steering shaft replacement - OEM or aftermarket

Interesting. The steering does feel tight. I turn the steering side to side and I feel like the wheels respond as expected....? I only feel the "play" when I hit bumps (speed bumps or rocks). My steering rack is brand new OEM. Replaced it a few months ago. I'll have to inspect the whole...

Steering shaft replacement - OEM or aftermarket

I think I need to change out some part of my steering shaft. I recently replaced my entire steering rack (OEM) along with itr and otrs. However, when wheeling I feel a little "play" in the steering. When going slow over rocky terrain and the tires push back and I feel feedback on the steering...

Easy DIY Airbag Installation - load leveling / towing

I am thinking of doing this mod. I have a full Dobinson MRA lift front and rear. However, I didn't buy heavy springs as I don't run any bumpers or anything crazy. But of course I carry gear when wheeling/camping. So I tend to bottom out in the rear when doing faster speed driving and hit some...
