these are 265x75r16 BFG AT's. I've looked at the shocks, they are stock and as far as the mounts and springs, everything is fine. I will be a taking it to a toyota specialist to have a look sometime this week. I'll post what I find.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with load range on tires. Is it listed on the sidewall? The 4runner only has 70K miles. I honestly think it's just the way these things handle on the trail. I was hoping others would have had complaints and someone made an aftermarket kit to soften the ride a bit...

tire pressure is @ 35psi which is the correct pressure for that tire. I don't think it's a tire problem though. My biggest issue with the 4runner is that it'll flex into one of the many potholes on the trail and then snap you back so hard i feel like I'm going to fly out of my seat.
