Wonder if Insurance companies are going to be quick to total cars to get "gas guzzlers" off the road quicker in the future. If you don't file a claim they can't total it. You'd have to do repairs yourself or work it out with the other guy.

Oil is long from dead. Its in everything, plastics, clothes, cosmetics, GAS. There are about 300,000,000 registered vehicles in the US. There are about 18,000,000 new car sales a year. If every new sale was electric and needed no gas it would take over 15 years to swap out the existing cars...

If it gets to $8 (outside of California) we are in bigger problems than deciding if we'd drive our 4Runners. At that price there would be large scale layoffs. There would likely be a depression like the "Great One" back before WWII.

I have a 2015 Barcelona Red Limited. Paint is holding up fine. There are some color shifts, sometimes it does take on a deeper (darker) red color.
