Awesome advice thanks! I went ahead with the oem gaskets from the dealer when I went to pick up coolant. I may give you a call sometime tomorrow to discuss it a bit after I clean up some more stuff. Thanks for all the help everyone!

So I went ahead and pulled the cams for each head, it doesn't look like it would be possible to pull the heads without, definitely wouldn't be able to get a torque wrench on them when I put them back in. So I just took my time and it was no problem. Only worked about an hour yesterday so that's...

I'm going off the FSM. They have you pull the cam shafts before the heads. I'd prefer to leave them in if possible.

We have almost identical 4Runners lol. I have a 2000 4x4 black with 127k. Different tires (same size) and fenders is all. Well that and the blown HG i'm fixing. I'm also in Florida, Orlando/Sanford area.
