The Volt kit has been excellent. I did a little adjustment to the beam positions and they work great. I am really enjoying the amount of light output and the whiter color of the 4300k versus others I've seen on the road. I haven't put a lot of time on researching the disabling of the low beams...

I installed the Volt kit today (4300k). Everything went very smooth, I did change the polarity connection and the systems looks and performs solid. I do have one question, I have a factory installed security system that turns the parking and low beams on when lock or unlock operation takes...

I am old, 33! Got the truck four years ago and I really enjoy it still. Hope to keep it for a long, long time. :thumb3:

I had major issues with the Dunlops. They changed the OEMs twice (tires kept coming out of round). I went to Michelins ( Michelin - Cross Terrain

SE 4x4 V6 Got the SE 4x4 V6 with leather (top quality, added by toyota SouthEast Distributors aka SET), sunroof, backup camera at the rear view mirror and 10 speaker system, it was still less than the limited. I also like X-REAS setup.

Long time.... I had a 97 tacoma for 9 yrs/165k miles and sold it for $4k. I hope to keep the 4R well beyond its extended warranty (100k miles/84 months). The plan is to be payment free next year.

I hear you...I was not aware of it prior to purchasing the 4R but now that I have seen everyone else talking about it, and the fact that lubricants quiet the engine now tremendously, I am very happy with the truck. The fuel additive is a plus all around, I now get a little bit better gas mileage...

The injector noise has also decreased drastically by using Lucas fuel treatment (UCL). I did use the Chevron fuel additive and it did quiet the injectors down some but I feel like lucas does a better job at a lower cost...

Regeaux, I see that you have the bull bar on what it looks like the sport edition. How does that look with the painted tubular rack and tubular running boards. Mine, I think like yours, are gray and I wanted to find a bull bar that I could either match or maybe get a black one and powercoated...

I use the shorter than stock grey Fram filter with the black grip (Tough Guard). I used a similar filter on my last truck (97 taco) and I sold it with 163k miles without problems. One can argue that the slightly smaller filter will provide better flow and less filtering area, but in my humble...

V6 4WD for me. I am mostly onroad so it is nice to have the option to switch from 2WD to 4WD specially here in FL where you have sunny skies and 10 minutes later is pouring down rain with 20 feet visibility :bugeye:

update on ticking After a few days of driving since the oil change with Lucas and the filter change, the ticking noise is pretty much gone! I am very excited to get this outcome. I have read people's opinions on additives such as Lucas and I've seen mixed reviews. I even read about a test...
