If you loosen that bolt you can also just wiggle your steering wheel and it should help too. That's how I ended up doing mine

They say Sumitomo 5Z-16 X-E , I gave the parts guy the part number in the first post. He said this was the new part and they had them sitting in the back in stock.

Honestly I'd check with your local dealer for getting the key cut. I go to the parts department quite often and the guys at my dealership will cut my key for free, I just give my VIN. Worth a shot...

I love that trail , it's like the proving grounds after a mod I'm surprised I never blew a CV doing that trail with open diffs.

PCK is a must ,follow this advice. I didnt realize how bad my truck was until I got that done and I only had ~1" lift in the rear.

Agreed on this kit, very complete. Make sure to get a new crank pulley bolt as well. Timmy's video was perfect for this, I did this for the first time following his videos and it worked out great!

I'd say keep them both too! (I have a 99 & 06) I have an 06 V8 with long travel and its an absolute blast to drive, I actually hardly drive it since the 3rd gen gets better MPG (I live far from work.....). With that said , there is something about the 3rd gen you just dont get in the big 4th...
