Had same issue on my ‘05 V8 SR5. Replaced MAF after cleaning several times and still getting codes. Took it to Toyota Techs in Fort Mill and she had a cracked manifold.

EZ Clone keys I went to Lowes today to get a new key made on the EZ Clone machine. They asked if my 05 SR5 has a regular ignition. Any idea what they are talking about? BTW $75 to cut and reprogram the new key. Thanks.

Plates have to be installed? I am installing the bypass as a preventative measure. No issues or codes. Do I need to install the plates? Thx. this is an awesome forum.

What a great forum. Been lurking on this site for several months before finally purchasing a '05 T4R V8. Would never have known about this issue without this forum and most likely would have ended up paying $1000's to fix. It sounds like if it hasn't happened yet it eventually will...
