Anyone ever notice damage from a car wash?

As 1eng said, they aren't liable. Since you seem to care about your vehicle (I do too btw,) do yourself a favor and order a bottle of Optimum No Rinse. It's super easy, saves money/water AND it 'can' be enjoyable. I wash my vehicles this way in the warmer months and it stays cleaner for...

    Calling all k02 owners 265 vs 275 ?

Do you truly believe that adding a larger, heavier tire WON'T make this (in your words) "slow, gutless, unresponsive and crap mpg" worse?

    TRAC OFF and no reverse

Sorry, you wrote this before I could finish my last post. About the DAC button, I doubt there's any power there at key off. Go out and check the DAC button again against the TRAC and A-TRAC buttons. It physically actuates differently......at least on my 2011 it does.

    TRAC OFF and no reverse

I'm a bit confused at this point with what was actually pushed when and by who, so looking again (NOT at 5 something in the am) would probably be good thing lol. As you're looking, you should become a bit more acquainted with the physical differences in the button push between DAC and TRAC. The...

    TRAC OFF and no reverse

True. Was curious and just confirmed this myself.......it will not, something isn't right.

How do you do it? Forget Click and Clack.......I'm eagerly scanning the radio for your debut show [emoji41]

    Removed Spidertrax Spacers=Interesting observations.

Yeah, where is 1Engineer when you need him? I'll leave the math to that guy, but I don't think yours stacks up in this scenario. While a change in rotating mass is something that can absolutely be felt in a drivers seat (or a bicycle saddle which is something I've got more personal experience...

2015 TE toe alignment off after 15,000 miles?

This and this. My dealer (Mark Miller in SLC) has typically provided me with fantastic work and customer satisfaction over many years, but alignments are one thing I won't pay them to do. In their defense, running an OME kit with stock UCAs doesn't make their job easy, but even 3 of their...

~20k miles, needs driver front wheel bearing already... fluke?

Off topic, but my wife drove a 2001 Outback that was a total nightmare in my eyes. Enough so that if it were my choice, it'd be hard for Subaru to regain my business. She makes her own decisions though and she's currently driving a 2015 Outback, which is very nice. Fingers crossed for less...

5th Gen 4runner: will my tires (285’s) rub? Here are some things to consider...

I'll add to 1engineer by saying that you really need to replay the saying "pay to play" in your head. Many modifications from stock come at a cost/sacrifice somewhere else. We're among many members who are prepared with the skills, time and $$$ to chase the dominos when they begin to fall. If...

~20k miles, needs driver front wheel bearing already... fluke?

Yes, and stated much better than my attempt to specifically stress the bias in calling this a common problem. Is it common in this thread? Yes. Is it common when searching for wheel bearing failures on an enthusiast's forum full of lightly to heavily modified vehicles? It might seem that way. Is...

~20k miles, needs driver front wheel bearing already... fluke?

Ugh, VW/Audi wheel bearings, now there's something to talk about...... Just out of curiosity, what year/model Subarus are you referring to?

~20k miles, needs driver front wheel bearing already... fluke?

Sure, but this forum isn't representative of the over 300,000 5th Gen 4Runners on the road. Not to mention that the forum enthusiast is probably often more likely to modify their vehicle (wheels with more back spacing and/or wheel spacers, heavier tires, etc.) I agree with Engineer; fluke or...

    Center Console Refinish #ll

I'm curious about this as well. rigtec, you say this was your second time refinishing this piece. How would you say the durability of your paint job stacks up to the factory's? Also, I've never gone crazy over Plasti Dip beyond experimenting with new colors, but I've considered using it in...
