    2004 V6 Problem - Bad Pulley?

I will call Camelback Toyota and ask the service director to do a search under your vin to see any open campaigns or tsb's.That serpentine belt on your engine is fairly tight especially between the fan clutch and crank pulley.Take a flashlight and take a very close look at the belt and make sure...

Who has changed their transmission fluid?

The tool I meant is the one that comes with the pump that actually fits into the threaded hole that the fill plug fits.I retired as a Toyota tech after 20 years before any new 4runners needed trans fluid replacement.

I'd like to know how much the tool is with the screw on fitting that fits on the plog hole in the trans pan.

    2004 V6 Problem - Bad Pulley?

I vaguely remember a TSB for the 1GR (v6) motor when it first came out.It was a long process of actually installing shims and spacers and checking the alignment of all the pulleys. It also involved replacing the crank pulley(harmonic balancer)Some of these motors came out of the factory with...

Just to give you guys a heads up on a problem i've been seeing on the older 4 runners with the 3.0 v6.If when you drive and the accelerator pedal (gas) seems hard and the truck is sluggish you may need a new throttle cable(gas pedal to throttle body)If you take a flaslight and look under the...

    Possibly selling 4runner

Performance is kinda important to both of us,we both have never liked the Camry its just too vanilla. The 4cylinder Camry is sluggish and rough especially with 4 people and ac on.We had a 2006 gs300 which got 30mpg all day long.Too bad it got t-boned on her way to work one morning.Wish I had a...

    Tire experiences

Ours had a tire vibration at 65mph when it was brand new like 2 days old. After repeated attempts of wheelbalancing and roadforce procedure by 2 different dealers they ended up installing Michelin Cross Terrain suv tires.

    Brake Shudder?

I would ask the dealer to replace the rotors and pads,at this mileage I would not want my rotors resurfaced and end up with less metal mass on the rotor.Does the steering wheel vibrate when you feel the problem ? If not then its the rear rotors.
