I have a 2000 4runner with stock 6.5" component speakers that I am looking to upgrade. I am looking for some drop in replacement speakers that will require little if any modification to fit in correctly. I care enough about audio quality to upgrade, but not enough to spend several hours...

Same Situation It seems that I too am in the same situation as you. I recently bought a 2000 4runner w/ 65k miles and also get about 150 miles to the tank and average about 10 MPG based upon fillups. Is this a common problem to occur in aging 4runners?
