Im on my second 1st gen, saw it on a wheeling trip with a guy from this forum, and after I rolled my '89 I bought his '87 just last month! The first one I saw on craigslist and then in person when I traded a 1996 K3500 6.5TD for it.

I got tired of the overly complicated system Toyota made for the rear window, I just put a 3 position switch going straight to the motor in the console. Used the old power antenae switch since it has Up/Down markings on it.

Not all have manual hubs, The SR5 models had the option of an ADD system that was vacuum actuated and it sucks. Everyone swaps manual hubs onto them after trying to service the ADD ratcheting hubs.

Yeah I know OME makes a quality product and everyone swears by them but if I had known more I wouldve waited and done chevy springs. Still considering it!

Got my '87 running and driving! Painted the valve cover and gave it some goodies from trail gear. Silicone hoses and NGK plug wires.

I do want that bumper off you but I imagine shipping would be terrible hahaha How sturdy do you think that thing is?

How easy was that shock mount? Is it still stock length shocks? Im lookin at doing that next on mine to go with my OME medium leafs.
