I have an interesting situation. this is for a 2016 4runner limited.
Installed a blind side monitor with a toyota style switch. everything works fine including the backlight dimming.
here is the interesting part. when you stop the car and the headlights are in the off position (not in auto)...

Trying to put in a drl on off switch. Is connector 2C the one at the bottom left side kick panel facing backwards? I spotted a light green wire there but not sure, there are a couple more light green wires around.
