You just run the cable out of the center console and put the iPod outside the console. Just get a cable long enough.

Yea the cord is like a double ended headphone connection. The headunit will not control the song you will have to do that from the iPod.

I think you should have a line-in connector in your center console. Just get like a double-ended headphone cable and hook one end into the line-in, and hook the other into you headphone jack on the iPod. That won't charge your iPod when you play though but will give you great sound results.

First of all congrats on your 4Runner, and welcome to the forum. In regards to weathertech vent visors I had them on mine and just took them off the other day due to the excessive wind noise they cause.

Josh if you take them off will you let me know if there is any remaining rattle or excess road noise since they are in-channel visors. I have the same vent visors and I can't decide whether to leave them on or take them off.
