I've had this full lock clank since I bought my T4R (used). I always assumed it was a characteristic of driving an SUV...

Now all you need is a decal across the back window saying "MOMMA, THERE GOES THAT MAN"

Sorry for the delayed response. It was a pretty slow hit - about 10 MPH. The speed limit was 20 MPH and the girl's beater had terrible brakes so she didn't press them in time and slid into me.

Got rear ended today at a stop light. Luckily, the tow hitch seemed to take all of the impact, so no visible damage (e.g. cracking/webbing of the bumper cover). My question is, what other possible damages should I look for? I got a police report and the girl's information, but I told her I'd get...

Performance-wise, I think synthetic/conventional is just a gimmick. I just enjoy synthetic so I can change my oil every 5,000 miles instead of 3,000 with conventional.

They were most likely gutting them and selling them as aftermarket knock-off cats to pass inspection, or selling them as a "hi-flow" cat. The price for just the scrap is probably around the $30 - $50 like another poster put.

Both my father and I have driven it and never had a problem with it. She does drive it the most since it's her vehicle and has never reported it. Her's is the 5 speed auto.

First place gets to decide on the tattoo for last place. 5" x 5" max size.

The TSB from Toyota is only for the 4WD model, but I've definitely had it happen on my V8 2WD Limited. I do know it's not a problem for the V6 since it's never happened on my mother's. Maybe it's just not as prominent on the 2WD V8? :confused:

Just as a dumb question, so for non-4WD, is there anything to grease down there that will fix/help this problem? Thanks for all the replies, by the way.
