My pushrod was not connected to anything either. Look on the pushrod and there are two holes on a little bracket, and those line up with this "male" push pin thing to the right inside of the glovebox compartment hole. I connected the pushrod to that, it fit, and closed the box. No problem.

I'm moving to West Africa and the roads there vary from smooth to axle-breaking ruts and holes. The vehicle won't carry heavy loads and speeds will average under 40 mph. I didn't realize the softer suspension is perferable but it makes sense. I do need new tires so I figure I might as well...

I have a stock 2005 4Runner and am considering toughening up the suspension because the truck is going to be used in an area with pretty bad roads on an everyday basis. Are there extra heavy duty shocks I should consider? Anything else? Recommended supplier? I appreciate any advice.
