I wouldn't ship FedEx Ground either. I was a package handler for almost 6 yrs. The fragile packages got the same treatment as anything else. The conveyor/automated sorter could handle 150LB packages, so if your fragile one got stuck and a heavy one came in behind it, guess what, it got smashed.
