I do love the V8. :) That's what I am leaning toward. I wouldn't mind learning to do the repairs myself, but I would need an extra car anyway while it is out of commission. Plus I have a 14 year old son who will need a car in a year, so we will need a 3rd vehicle anyway.

I have a 2006 SR5 V8 that just rolled over 200k miles. I have a laundry list of expensive items that need to be replaced soon... both front CV axle shafts, both lower arms for ball joints, new tires, and new brakes all around. It pains me to spend $3k on a vehicle that is worth only $6k or...

Not even cranking slow. Its hard to explain but it sounded like a normal start without the cranking. I'm sure that makes no sense... sorry. It was a sound that I've never heard before. Battery was last replaced in Sept 2014. Haven't tested the alternator.

I know I need to do the wheels too. All 4 wheels are corroded. I just can't decide if I should have them fixed (if that's possible), replace with new ones, or try to paint them.

I had planned on painting my fender flares black, but you guys talked me into painting them white. So I finally got around to starting it today. What do you think? Should I continue, or should I go back to black? Should I paint the mud flaps? What about the end caps of the running boards...

Ok, here's my 4Runner. I think you guys have almost convinced me to do white on white.

I thought about that, but I'm worried that it may not match since my 4Runner probably isn't as "white" as it used to be.
