You are in 4hi when you should not be. Your truck does not have a center differential and you are experiencing binding. 4WD should only be used during times of reduced traction. Please look back a page or 2 to see the various threads discussing similar questions over the past few days.

Same exact thing happened to me. My first thought was is it was missing from the factory. To add to the confusion it was the same color as the oil pan. Flat head screw driver also did the trick for me.
