Non KDSS sway bar disconnects (want to remove KDSS)

I drove a 2017 with KDSS & 5100's for 3 years/50k miles. I traded up to a 2020 without and added Eibach Sports. Every time I get in to the new one....it's just not the same. Not bad mind you but it was...that much better.

Best A/T tire for highway & mileage

Consider weight....my .02c Take a look at the spreadsheet I put together on the post below. I have listed various tire sizes and their weights. I settled on the Firestone Destination A/T2 @ P285/70r17 and couldn't be happier. Highway manners are excellent and no issues with balance. I have...

    Need New Tires

Consider weight I posted this a while back. I, like you wanted a more conservative tread. I built a spreadsheet referencing tire weights and size. Hopefully this is helpful to you. PS....I have been very happy with the Firestone's. I have noticed very little if any decrease in performance...

    Removal of Painted Pin Stripes?

I'd drive it by a body shop or two and get a recommendations on a DIY solution if there is one. Actually with the lower driving activity right now, shops may have capacity so get them to give you a quote. It could be that mechanical removal with spot blended clear coat is your only solution.

Picture Request: 285s on Trail Edition Rims

Weights? Not to hi-jack but do any of you guys have these weights on your wheels? The tire shop mounted the traditional crimp on weights on the inside rim. I get why they are there but I didn't notice them on my 2017, maybe they were painted black? Every wheel on my 2020 has them in different...

When you factor in the CAD exchange rate, I think they're a deal.

Greenlane Offroad, Aluminum Side Steps/Rocker Guards +pics

Their usefulness as a step (I think) has a lot has to do with your BFG to seat height ratio (Butt From Ground). Using them as a step for a 6' person will not be the same as someone 5' tall such as my wife. For me, 5'-8", I tend to use them more for getting out than I do for stepping in but...

Greenlane Offroad, Aluminum Side Steps/Rocker Guards +pics

For those interested. I thought I'd share with you my experience. My short list came down to CBI, Slee and Greenlane. I decided to go with Greenlane because they were aluminum “steps” and the images on their web site combined with other web searches appealed to me the most. My recent 2”+/-...

    Prop shaft greasing

old school..... Guys....on my '87 there used to be a card in the visor that showed the lube points along the drive line. I used to pull this card and give it to the shop to use as reference. I remember telling them to put it in neutral and roll it until the zerks were visible to lube. Good...

    285/70r/17 + Eibach Pro truck @ 1.6 + Tire size info

That's where I was too which is why I made the spreadsheet so I could compare sizes. I really didn't want to go with an E rated tire. The only one that was close to Std load was the Kuhmo (6 ply C rated) which was also 12lbs/tire heavier and offered no mileage warranty. I kept coming back to...

    285/70r/17 + Eibach Pro truck @ 1.6 + Tire size info

What off-roading I do anymore is in the low country of Florida and Georgia. My 1st gen and 3rd gen saw time in the mountains. I'm older now. After 30+ years of owning 4runners they have changed along with me so this vehicle works with my lifestyle today. So for now, I'm okay with not having...
